Fahd Owaidah who was born in Buraidah city of Al-Qassim Region is considered one of self-made men, began his struggle seriously not available except in only a few prominent businessmen. After leaving the city where he was born, he moved to Riyadh starting from nothing when he worked in the trade clothes and fabrics, which he has imported from Kuwait then sell them in Riyadh. He developed hard until became head of Owaidah Group that has 17 affiliated companies and institutions, and about 8000 employees. This giant Group was known by working in large agricultural, industrial, commercial, and real estate projects and trading in local shares, although the most outstanding activity in construction activities, especially construction and establishment of roads.
Fahd Owaidah –May God mercy him- which was close to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, was known by his seeking to charity and helping the poor and needy people and building of mosques in different parts of the country with his interest to be his contribution and charitable works within the homeland.
He did a good job in his life, where he created famous brand enjoys with confidence and credibility at home and abroad, so that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz said after inaugurated Alsman road northern of Riyadh in 1987, which was carried out by his Group «I hope every businessmen like Fahad Owaidah » especially that road before its implementation represented a challenge to all construction companies because of rough and the presence of a dense sand dunes.
Owaidah did not enjoy with any special leave all his life , as he has been busy following up his work in all of his time to the extent that he was reviewing and discussing his work and projects in his rest times, and he may deprive himself of sleep for that. For his keen of legality & rightness of everything related to his trade, he has formed a religion (Islamic) Committee in his companies composed of Sheikh Mohammed Aldhish and Dr. Mohamed AlRibiesh as two deputies (consultants) to him to express an opinion about his charitable work, and guide it to whom are entitled, in addition to providing religious opinion in the projects that he wants to carry out, or implement.
Among the most important works of his Group carrying out the highway linking the capital Riyadh and Taif, which is estimated about 800 km length, as well as it carried out the big slaughter which constructed in Mona (Holy Places).
He -may God have mercy on him- has leaved a trusted trade name and a fortune consists of 17 companies and more than 50 boys and girls.
