He was born in Sharurah in 1372H. In 1379, he left to Jeddah with his father; Sheikh / Ahmed Salim bin Mahfouz –May God mercy him. He began with his father in furniture trade and were among the first merchants of furniture &furnishings and at the time there were only three dealers in this field. He studied at Alfalah schools in Jeddah. in 1390 he began his career self-made where he was employed at NCB in archive then promoted in the job ladder through chief accounts until he became deputy director of Bab Sharif Branch (the only branch in Jeddah at that time). In 1394 he went to Tohama Asir and opened some shops in Abha and established a factory for manufacturing furniture. In 1397 founded Salim Ahmed Salim bin Mahfouz Est. for General Contracting. in 1398 went to Tabuk to work in digging artesian wells, especially after interest witnessed in this region in the field of agriculture at that time and he established the General Establishment of excavation works in Tabuk under German management. In 1405 H returned to Jeddah and established Salim Ahmed Salim Bin Mahfouz & Sons company for Ready Mix Concrete; one of the Saudi companies that are owned wholly by Sheikh Salim Ahmed Salim bin Mahfouz and his sons and the company is one of the first factories of ready-mixed concrete in Jeddah and contributed effectively in the construction of mosques, schools, buildings and commercial markets including AlMahmal Centre, AlShoala , AlSharkl, Jeddah Mall and others, as well as the company rewarded many certificates for its quality production from many companies including Sam Co., Bin Laden Co., Dagestani Co. and other companies. The Villas complex residential project is considered its last general contracting project which consists of 42 villas, swimming pools and sports clubs and different halls, total area 20.000 m 2 owned by HRH Prince Faisal bin Fahd – May God mercy him- he had the honor to meet Prince Faisal bin Fahd – May God mercy him- more than once and HRH charged him to build housing units in his palace at Jeddah, as well as HRH promised him to reward a mega project in one kilometer area, but he died before that. His contributions within Yemen: a member of the committee which made a reconciliation between the warring tribes (Awalik & Saiaar tribes) dated 27/10/1998, A member of the committee to conciliate between the Al-Mahdi and Alkazmi tribe dated 11/05/1998.
