Abdullatif Alissa -may God have mercy on him - began his business in selling cars in early Sixties, and became an agent for General Motors in Riyadh and eastern region at the beginning of Seventies, and invested huge investments in automotive sector and the establishment of infrastructure that resulted in the big productions of all Abdullatif Alissa Group companies (Holding Company).
people do not know about the businessman; Abdullatif Alissa only as an agent of a number of car agencies in Riyadh, but this is apparent activity, as he continued his activity in selling of land until his death, and entered banking field, where he founded with a number of businessmen Saudi Holland Bank (SHB) , but quit after that.
And he entered the industrial field, where he established with a number of businessmen a plant to manufacturing large Clay Pipes for water, and three German companies entered with him, and still successful company until now, and there is another factory which is the Swedish factory (Saburks), which is involved in certain ways of build houses and buildings.
As well as Mr. Abdullatif Alissa entered in central markets field, so he is the founder of the first central supermarket in the entire Arab region, in the early Seventies which designed and supervised by (Seven × Elven) company, that is a U.S. company specializing in this field. Mr. Abdullatif Alissa appointed his son-in-Law, Dr. Fahd AlBonian in the management of this huge central market, known in the eastern region as ''Markets”.
These are milestones in the carrier of Mr. Abdullatif Alissa, although which will go down in history as the first who enters the retail with installments, also he alone built his own empire of huge business, but the thing that Abdullatif Alissa proud is that he did not invest one Saudi Riyal outside Saudi Arabia! As he had a point of view about the investment inside the Kingdom, as he firmly believed that this country is safe and have a promising future, and was called the kingdom as the ''Lion'' for its magnitude and diversity of investment areas. His sons run the Group after him, as Eng. Abdul Mohsen Al-Essa, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abdullatif Alissa Holding Group, and Mr. Najeeb Abdullatif Alissais Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National General Company of Cars “ Nat”.
